We have broken ground and are preparing for the construction of our first barn. While we are doing most of the work with help from friends, there are a few aspects where the professionals will take over.Following are the first photos of the barn site preparation. We moved soil from another part of the farm in order to make a level surface. We are leveling the soil and adding stone in anticipation of concrete that will be poured in the next 4-5 days, depending on weather.
6/11/07 This past Friday, the foundation/floor for the barn was poured. The floor will set-up for a total of 10 days and then pier construction can begin. Here are a few updated photos:
